John is a successful General Manager with experience across the eCommerce, Financial Services and Media industries, and a specialization in the online space.

John currently serves as MD of the leading Danish online classifieds site, DBA.dk., which was bought by eBay in 2008. He has previously been responsible for global strategy and M&A for eBay's Classifieds Group. He has also served as MD of eBay Ireland.

Prior to joining eBay, John was a Project Manager at Consulting firm, Booz & Company, where he advised over 20 clients throughout Europe and Asia. His principal focus was on Business Strategy, though he also worked on several turnarounds. Prior to Booz &Company, John started his career as a Graduate Trainee at UBS Ltd.

John has a track record in driving innovation and business growth. His primary business focus is on customer needs, and how best to serve them. While at eBay Ireland, he put in place several partnerships to address customer 'pain points'. John's passion is using technology to solve business problems. At DBA.dk, he launched a new Daily Deal service and is currently leading a complete migration of the entire DBA site based on user input.

John's experience spans several functions, including Product, Technology, Finance, Sales, Marketing and Strategy. He is an experienced spokesperson, and has conducted numerous interviews on TV and radio.

Within eBay, John is leading the launch of new initiatives in mCommerce and 'local' online. He also regularly reviews potential investments for the company.

John sits of the board of Aventura Venture Partners, and several eBay companies, as well as on the advisory board of BriteBill Ltd.
